Coinkite, the maker of a Bitcoin wallet that was hacked, is refusing to estimate the amount lost due to the software flaw. The incident has been estimated to have resulted in losses of around $130 million.

The company stated that they 'won't speculate on a number we can’t verify directly' and instead pointed users to independent on-chain analysis being published by outside research teams.

This decision comes as a result of the uncertainty surrounding the exact amount lost. Coinkite emphasized their inability to confirm total losses or validate specific figures reported by third parties.
