CoinMarketCap Integrates Tokenized Asset Data APIs
CoinMarketCap has expanded its professional API suite to include seven new data feeds for tokenized stocks, bonds, and ETFs. This move is designed to provide developers and institutional clients with granular market data for the rapidly growing tokenized asset sector.
The newly added APIs allow users to track tokenized asset prices, market capitalization, and 24-hour trading volume for each instrument. Additionally, the feeds include details on issued on-chain tokens, trading venues, and issuer information, giving developers a comprehensive view of the RWA market.
This development comes as the tokenization of traditional financial assets gains momentum. Major financial institutions and blockchain projects have been exploring ways to bring assets like U.S. Treasuries, equities, and real estate onto distributed ledgers, aiming to improve liquidity, transparency, and accessibility.
