CoinMarketCap's API Now Includes AI-Generated Insights for Cryptocurrency Markets
CoinMarketCap has enhanced its Pro API by introducing a new family of CMC AI endpoints. This move allows developers to access structured data, including AI-generated insights, that are displayed on CoinMarketCap's homepage and coin detail pages.
The new endpoints return answers to various questions related to cryptocurrency markets, along with the underlying sources. These include trending narratives, sentiment, momentum, and top news, which are refreshed every 30 minutes.
The CMC AI family consists of three endpoints: a market feed covering trending topics, a per-cryptocurrency endpoint returning a fixed set of questions for each of the top 100 assets by market capitalization, and a coverage map showing which assets currently have content available.
Each answer is returned in JSON format, pre-split into a short summary and a longer body in markdown. The source URLs are also provided, along with a count of the total sources behind each answer.
