CoinRabbit, a crypto asset management platform, has achieved six years without a security incident and zero loss of client assets. The platform's success is attributed to its partnership with NOWCustody, the custody product from ChangeNOW.
The company launched in 2020 with a focus on risk management and cybersecurity experience combined with blockchain development. In crypto lending, user assets are posted as collateral and stay with the custodian until the loan is repaid. A breach or weak protection at this stage would compromise client funds and the platform's reputation.
CoinRabbit set strict conditions for its custody partner: no access to sensitive client data, no ability to act on user wallets independently, and a guarantee of fast loan turnaround times. NOWCustody took on these responsibilities, handling wallet operations, access control, deposits, and collateral while keeping operational control with CoinRabbit.
The partnership has scaled to meet the needs of high-net-worth and institutional clients, with larger portfolios raising the bar on custody. The integration stack added layers of protection and finer-grained access controls over time, maintaining transaction speed.
