Coinsbuy Suffers $7.9 Million Hot Wallet Breach
Crypto payment service Coinsbuy has fallen victim to a hot wallet breach, resulting in the loss of over $7.9 million.
According to PeckShield analysts, two possible attack scenarios include the compromise of private keys or serious vulnerability in Coinsbuy's infrastructure.
The funds were withdrawn from hot wallets through Ethereum and Tron networks, with the attacker distributing them across different exchange services such as FixedFloat, ChangeNOW, and BingX.
Some of the stolen assets were blocked by the Coinsbuy team and ChangeNOW, but it is unclear if all of the lost funds have been recovered.
