The estimated losses from the Coldcard Bitcoin vulnerability have risen to $88.6 million after Galaxy Research updated its count of affected addresses.

The research firm initially reported that around $70.2 million was lost in a series of attacks, but has now increased this estimate to 1,367.05 BTC, or approximately $88.6 million.

The Coldcard vulnerability allowed hackers to drain Bitcoin from wallets created using the company's firmware flaw, which affected users who generated seeds before version 5.6.0 on Mk4 and Mk5 models, or before version 1.5.0Q on Q seeds.
