Coldcard Hack Sets Off Wave of Small Bitcoin Transfers
A recent hack on the Coldcard wallet has led to an influx of small Bitcoin transactions. According to CryptoQuant, a total of 39,600 BTC was moved in transactions under 1 BTC on July 31. This surge is reminiscent of the FTX collapse in 2022.
Galaxy Research estimates that approximately 1,367 BTC has been compromised across 4,585 addresses as a result of the hack.
The affected users have been advised to generate new wallet seeds and transfer their funds immediately. This is an effort to prevent further potential losses due to the compromised wallets.
