ZachXBT, a prolific on-chain investigator, has announced he will not be tracing the $88.6 million Coldcard hack, citing a lack of support from Bitcoin's community.

The breach, which began on July 30 and is still ongoing, has drained 1,367 BTC from 4,585 addresses, with Galaxy Research tracking the stolen funds as they move through the blockchain.

ZachXBT claimed he has 'less obligation' to help due to the community's lack of support in return for his work, which has often been done pro bono. This statement has sparked debate about the divide between the investigator and Bitcoin's community.
