Coldcard Hacker Moves $7.8 Million Worth of Stolen Bitcoin
A hacker behind the third wave of the Coldcard exploit has moved $7.8 million worth of Bitcoin, approximately 45% of the stolen funds.
The attacker used CoinJoin to mix multiple transactions and obscure the trail, making it harder for blockchain analysts to track the movement of the stolen coins.
Galaxy Research found that the hacker is systematically draining the funds from the largest vaults first, with 82% of the stolen Bitcoin still sitting in the attacker's wallets and 18% being laundered through various means.
