A significant development has occurred in the aftermath of the Coldcard hardware wallet hack. On August 7, a Bitcoin wallet linked to the breach moved 30.185 BTC worth approximately $1.94 million to a newly created address.

This represents about 1.5% of the estimated 2,055 BTC tied to the theft and marks the first reported movement from the attacker since the initial breach. The funds could be sold or exchanged, but it's also possible they will remain at the new address or move again.

The Coldcard flaw exposed thousands of Bitcoin wallets, resulting in losses of over $100 million. Galaxy Research identified three confirmed attacks, with a fourth potential attack increasing the total loss to almost 2,055 BTCs, valued at approximately $130 million.
