Coldcard Hackers Hide Loot in Crypto Mixers
A recent exploit of the Coldcard wallet has led to the transfer of approximately $4.17 million in Bitcoin and $380,000 in Ether to cryptocurrency mixing protocols.
The transfers occurred on Tuesday, with 64 BTC being sent from address bc1q0 to Wasabi, a crypto mixing protocol, according to blockchain data shared by CertiK.
CertiK believes that the hacker behind this exploit might be a smaller one, potentially followed by copycats after the initial attack.
This is the third-largest cryptocurrency hack so far in 2026, with at least $100 million in Bitcoin drained across three confirmed attack waves from 7,300 victim wallets.
