Coldcard Hackers Hoard Stolen Funds
The hack of Coldcard wallets has resulted in significant losses for users. According to researchers from Galaxy, over 1,789 BTC have been stolen, but a substantial portion remains unmoved.
Thorn, a researcher, stated that attackers have not spent 1,561 Bitcoin, which accounts for approximately 87% of the attributed losses. The funds are still in attacker-controlled addresses or holding collections.
The majority of the stolen funds remain visible on-chain and have not been laundered through various means such as CoinJoin transactions or peel chains.
