Coldcard MK3 Seed Flaw Exposes Users to Potential Theft
Coldcard's MK3 hardware has been found to have a flaw in its seed generation process, which may leave users vulnerable to theft. This issue affects wallets created from seeds generated on Coldcard MK3 hardware running firmware version 4.0.1 or later.
Coinkite, the company behind the advisory, warns that affected users should transfer their funds to a secure wallet as soon as possible. There is currently no evidence linking this flaw to the recent theft of 594 Bitcoin from hundreds of single-signature addresses.
