Coldcard Wallets Exposed: 594 BTC Transferred in Mass Relocation

A security vulnerability in Coldcard wallets has led to a significant transfer of 594.48 BTC ($63,836) from over 500 addresses to a single account.

According to Block Security, the issue affected multiple Coldcard models since March 2021.

Experts recommend that users move their BTC holdings to new addresses using a new seed phrase immediately.

The accounts that used an additional BIP 39 password during initial setup are considered secured and unaffected by the vulnerability.
