Compass Mining Hits Brick Wall Again in Manchester Zoning Battle

Share

Compass Mining's third attempt to set up shop in Manchester has hit a roadblock. The company, which specializes in cryptocurrency mining, had been seeking approval from the local zoning commission to operate on a site in the area.

However, despite presenting its case to the commission on August 12, Compass Mining failed to secure the necessary permits. This follows two previous rejections by the commission, with opponents citing concerns over noise and environmental impact.

The company's chief mining officer, Shanon Squiers, was present at the meeting to address these concerns, but it appears that his efforts were not enough to sway the commission's decision.
