Compound Unveils ¥8.3 Billion Development Budget for Institutional-Grade Credit Services
Compound Finance has announced its largest-ever development budget of ¥8.3 billion (approximately $52 million), aimed at bringing institutional-grade credit services on-chain.
The decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) behind Compound has approved a new leadership structure, led by Aaron Schnarch, former CEO of Coinbase Custody, as executive director. This team is composed of experienced professionals from traditional finance and digital assets, with the goal of expanding the protocol's reach to institutional investors.
The budget will be split into two categories: ¥4.5 billion for operations and development of the new 'Compound V4' protocol, and ¥3.8 billion for growth investment. The 'V4' protocol features a 'hub-and-spoke' architecture, enabling stricter risk management for professional counterparties.
