Conflux Network Scheduled for Hard Fork on August 25th
Conflux Network has announced that it will be undergoing a hard fork on August 25th, which is expected to bring several improvements to the network. The v3.1.0 update requires all node operators to install the new software before the deadline, or they may face difficulties in downloading new blocks and processing transactions.
The update includes seven Conflux Improvement Proposals (CIPs), which will improve Ethereum compatibility and correct transaction and staking problems. One of the proposals, CIP-173, is expected to take effect on August 26th, one day after the upgrade deadline.
Conflux has warned node operators that those who wait until after the target epoch will have a more difficult process in updating their nodes. They will need to remove their existing blockchain data and install the latest version of the software.
