Conflux (CFX) is gearing up for its v3.1.0 testnet hardfork, scheduled to go live on August 7, 2026. The upgrade will introduce seven Conflux Improvement Proposals (CIPs), including security updates and RPC changes.

The most notable technical updates include CIP-173, which addresses Proof-of-Stake (PoS) dispute evidence verification and extends stake lock mechanisms.

CIP-166 and CIP-167 enhance Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility, while CIP-172 through CIP-176 resolve bugs impacting transaction encoding, gas pricing, and cross-space calls.

The upgrade also fixes critical vulnerabilities, the details of which will be disclosed after implementation to prevent exploitation.
