Conflux Upgrades to v3.1.0 with CIP-173 Hardfork
Conflux (CFX), a hybrid PoW and PoS blockchain, is upgrading to version 3.1.0 on August 26, introducing seven Conflux Improvement Proposals (CIPs). The hardfork includes CIP-173, which fixes a PoS dispute verification issue, and six other proposals that address EVM compatibility and bug fixes.
The upgrade requires node operators to update their nodes by August 25 to avoid network disruptions. Those who delay will need to delete all node data and perform a fresh setup.
The Conflux team has overhauled RPC services, introducing new methods like eth_createAccessList and trace_call, and migrating to the jsonrpsee framework for better performance and security. A yet-undisclosed security patch is also included in the upgrade.
