A conservative advocacy group called the Alliance for a Better Future is investing millions to support three Republican candidates it views as champions of AI regulation. The group, which launched on March 23, 2026, aims to promote balance between AI innovation and consumer protections.

The targets of ABF's largesse are Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, Sen. Roger Marshall of Kansas, and Rep. Ashley Hinson of Iowa, who are all facing voters in November. The group is running a seven-figure advertising campaign featuring the three Republican incumbents as lawmakers who understand the importance of balance.

According to surveys conducted by ABF, 83% of likely voters express concern about AI development, with 81-to-10 favoring companies implementing consumer protections over operating without restrictions. The group plans to spend at least eight figures across 2026 on a combination of federal and state advocacy, lobbying, and public education efforts.
