The Console Visa card has successfully cleared its initial testing phase and is now expanding access to a broader group of users. This milestone marks a significant step towards bridging the gap between owning a digital asset and spending it in everyday life.
The Console card was built on the Canton Network, with additional support for Ethereum and Base, allowing holders to spend their Canton Coin directly without the need for exchanges or transfers. The card is self-custodial, meaning private keys are stored locally on the user's device, never on a company server.
According to Alex Dulub, founder of Console Wallet, 'This is the first card on Canton that lets you spend Canton Coin directly in the real world, with no offramp and no selling on an exchange. CC went from something you hold to something you use.'
