Cardano (ADA) holders can now convert their cryptocurrency to PayPal using the service Boomchange. This process is made possible due to the incompatibility between PayPal's banking infrastructure and ADA's blockchain-based consensus mechanism.
To start, users must choose ADA as their sending asset and select PayPal as their destination on the Boomchange platform. They will then need to enter their PayPal email address, which must be confirmed character by character to avoid any errors.
Next, users must send their ADA from their wallet to a one-time deposit address generated by Boomchange. The Cardano network fee is typically under $1, regardless of transaction size, and the exchange margin is built into the displayed rate.
The entire process takes around 15-25 minutes, depending on the Cardano network's activity level. It's also worth noting that ADA uses a UTXO model with a minimum requirement per transaction, which means users may need to account for this when sending their funds.
