Copper CEO Departs Amid Ongoing Search for Buyer

Share

Copper CEO Amar Kuchinad has left the company as it continues to search for a buyer. The search, which started in May, has been ongoing for over three months.

Copper, a cryptocurrency custody firm with clients including Coinbase, Bitfinex, and Kraken, is looking to find a new owner. The financial firm Cantor Fitzgerald was appointed to help facilitate the sale, marketing the company at $500 million.

CoinDesk reported last month that Copper was fielding offers around the $200 million mark, significantly lower than its valuation of over $2 billion at its height.
