Core DAO Contained Validator Reward Glitch With Emergency Hard Fork
Core DAO is taking emergency measures to rectify an issue where validators claimed more CORE rewards than intended. The incident was contained, and 'malicious validators' can no longer draw excess rewards.
A forward upgrade will be implemented as a result of the hard fork, which will not roll back the network or reverse any previously confirmed transactions. This is in line with an earlier update that stated user assets remain safe.
Several exchanges restricted CORE transfers due to suspected or confirmed security concerns. Coinbase paused sends and receives on the Core network, while Bithumb and Coinone suspended deposits and withdrawals.
