Core DAO's validator rewards have exceeded planned levels for some validators, sparking concern about the token supply. According to Core DAO, the issue has not affected network security or custody.

The project identified the root cause and is working on mitigations to resolve the situation. However, two exchanges, Coinbase and LBank, have restricted CORE transfers due to the incident.

Core DAO promised a postmortem after the issue is contained, but did not disclose the amount of excess CORE or the validators involved. The exchange actions differ: Coinbase paused sends and receives, while LBank suspended deposits only.
