Core Lightning Team Sounds Alarm Over Critical Flaws Exposed by AI
The Core Lightning (CLN) team has sounded the alarm after AI uncovered critical flaws in their software. According to recent reports, a severe issue was discovered that requires users to shut down CLN Lightning nodes immediately.
As of now, there are no reported fund losses or attackers exploiting the issue in the wild, but the team insists that users must upgrade and take their nodes offline to prevent further damage.
The latest vulnerability disclosure comes as a tidal wave of reports leveraging AI software have recorded significant bugs across the industry. In fact, at the end of last month, an AI-assisted attack led to losses of nearly 2,000 BTC in the Coldcard firmware exploit.
The CLN issue is just another example of the fragility involved with these systems that everyday Bitcoiners rely on. The recent Boltz shutdown due to AI-assisted attacks has already impacted other platforms like Aqua and Zeus.
