Core Scientific Rebuilds Bitcoin Treasury After Quarter of Heavy Selling
Core Scientific, a Nasdaq-listed miner, is rebuilding its Bitcoin treasury after seeing its balance sheet shrink at the start of this year. The company finished the first quarter with 547 Bitcoins but added 301 coins to its stash in the second quarter alone, bringing its total to 848 Bitcoins - worth over $54 million at today's prices.
This increase comes despite Core Scientific's strategy of selling Bitcoins earlier this year to fund its transition to the AI and high-powered computing industry. By stacking Bitcoin again using coins from mining, the miner aims to have a strong balance sheet.
The company's revenue in the second quarter rose sharply to $164.2 million from $78.6 million in Q2 2025, while gross profit rose to $70 million from $5 million in the same period as the year before.
