Corporate Bitcoin Demand Returns with Strategy, Strive Purchases
Corporate demand for Bitcoin has resumed this week, driving up prices and creating fresh demand in the market. Strategy, founded by Michael Saylor, purchased approximately $370 million worth of BTC after a 10-week hiatus, bringing its total holdings to 845,050 BTC.
This is part of a larger trend where corporate buyers have become a significant source of demand for Bitcoin, with publicly-traded firms holding around 1.264 million BTC across 198 companies.
Strive also made significant purchases, buying $143 million worth of Bitcoin and becoming the fifth-largest corporate holder in the process.
The return of treasury buyers is seen as a positive development for the market, which has already seen a 24% increase in August. However, some analysts caution that the concentration of holdings among a few large companies makes the market vulnerable to fluctuations.
