Corporate Crypto Holdings Surpass $123 Billion
The total value of cryptocurrencies held by public companies has reached approximately $123 billion, according to The Block's Corporate Crypto Treasury Tracker. This represents a significant increase in corporate crypto reserves, with Bitcoin accounting for over 81% of these digital assets.
Bitcoin makes up the largest portion of these reserves, valued at around $99.8 billion. Public companies that primarily hold Bitcoin have collectively accumulated about 1.274 million BTC, with Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) being the undisputed leader. As of September 7, this company held 845.05 thousand BTC, acquired for a total of $63.73 billion and an average price of approximately $75,400 per Bitcoin.
The value of Bitcoin on MicroStrategy's balance sheet is estimated to exceed $66 billion, which accounts for about two-thirds of the tracked corporate Bitcoin reserves. Other notable holders include Twenty One Capital with 43,514 thousand BTC and Japan's Metaplanet with 43 thousand BTC. The second-largest corporate cryptocurrency position after Strategy is actually Ethereum, held by BitMine Immersion Technologies in the amount of nearly 5.93 million ETH, worth around $14.7 billion.
