Corporate Treasuries Reap Profits as Bitcoin and Ethereum Prices Soar
The recent surge in Bitcoin and Ethereum prices has pushed corporate treasuries into profitability. According to CryptoRank, top companies such as Strategy, Coinbase, SpaceX, Block, Metaplanet, BitMine, BTCS, Galaxy Digital, and Bit Digital have disclosed their average entry prices for these assets.
The largest disclosed corporate Bitcoin holders bought in across a wide range, with most now in profit. For example, SpaceX and Block are well into the green after buying at $35,320 and $27,408 respectively. However, Metaplanet's aggressive top-buyer strategy has left them still underwater.
On the Ethereum side, the gap is tighter, with only Coinbase having moved above its entry price of $2,308 as the asset nears $2,475. BitMine, the single largest ETH holder, remains below its average cost of $3,517, though August's rally has closed most of the distance.
The charts show how far some of these bets still have to run, with Metaplanet's Bitcoin and BitMine's Ether remaining well above today's prices. This serves as a reminder that even in a rising market, aggressive corporate treasuries are still waiting to break even.
