Corporate Treasury Loses $8.22B as Bitcoin Price Plunge Takes Its Toll
A major corporate treasury has taken a significant hit from the recent Bitcoin price plunge.
The company, which holds over 843,000 BTC, suffered an $8.22 billion net loss in the second quarter due to the 14% decline in Bitcoin's value from nearly $68,000 at the start of April to around $58,600 by the end of June.
Despite this substantial loss, the company continues its massive accumulation strategy, increasing its BTC reserves by 25% since the beginning of the year. This move is part of a long-term scarcity vision, as the company's management has chosen to ignore short-term uncertainties in favor of preserving value over time.
