Cosmos Ecosystem Aligns Behind Injective USDC
Injective's USDC has been adopted as the new standard stablecoin across the Cosmos ecosystem and dYdX, replacing Noble USDC. This transition is being coordinated by Circle, Injective, Cosmos Labs, and dYdX to streamline stablecoin use with Circle's latest Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) infrastructure.
The move consolidates USDC representation within Cosmos, reducing fragmentation and aligning the ecosystem around a single native stablecoin issued by Circle on Injective. This change is expected to enhance cross-chain compatibility and reduce friction for users.
dYdX will adopt USDC.inj as its sole eligible trading collateral, eliminating the need for bridging between different USDC representations. Injection supports USDC across both its EVM and Wasm virtual machines, enabling broad use in DeFi applications, payments, and programmability.
