Cramer's Wrong Call: CLARITY Act Passage Now Seen as Likely
Crypto community members are optimistic about the passage of the CLARITY Act after a recent post from Jim Cramer sparked widespread agreement that he was wrong in predicting its failure.
Cramer's statement, 'I'm sure that the Clarity Act will never pass!', was seen as a contrarian signal by many investors, who have followed his track record of making incorrect predictions about major market events.
The CLARITY Act is currently close to a vote in the Senate and has secured floor time when lawmakers return from recess. The cloture vote is scheduled for September 15, 2026, at 2:15 PM, and Senator Bernie Moreno has confirmed that negotiations are finished with no further issues to iron out.
With all 53 Senate Republicans expected to vote in favor of cloture, the bill needs only 7-10 Democrats to cross over to clear the 60-vote threshold. Former House Financial Services Committee Chairman Patrick McHenry has stated that the banking lobby's efforts against the bill are 'falling on deaf ears', and he predicts the bill will pass before the end of 2026.
