Crazy Taxi: World Tour Revs Up Network Test for 2027 Launch
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is gearing up for its 2027 launch, and Sega has opened a network test for the game's multiplayer component. The closed beta test will feature two modes, Pickup Race and Cops 'N' Cabbies, with six players competing in each mode. The testing period kicks off on September 11 at 5 p.m. PDT and runs until September 13.
Registration is open now through August 31, and only a limited number of slots are available - 5,000 participants will be chosen to take part in the test. The network test will feature cross-play between PlayStation 5, Windows PC via Steam, and Xbox Series X consoles.
A new trailer has been released alongside the announcement, showing off the game's West Coast map and some of its new features. Sega confirmed that two real-world businesses, IHOP and Amoeba Music, will be featured in the game, but it remains to be seen if other brands like Pizza Hut and KFC will make an appearance.
