CRML Soars 10.3% as European Lithium Acquisition Terms Revised
Critical Metals Corp., traded under the ticker CRML, saw its stock surge by 10.3% on Friday to close at $6.40.
The increase was partly due to revised terms for the company's planned acquisition of European Lithium Ltd., which were disclosed in a SEC Form 6-K filing late Thursday evening.
Under the new agreement, the exchange ratio will be based on CRML's 20-day volume-weighted average trading price (VWAP), rather than a fixed conversion structure. This move is intended to shield existing shareholders from excessive dilution, particularly at lower stock prices.
The restructured framework also includes protective collars set at $8 and $16, which will limit extreme fluctuations in the exchange ratio.
The market's positive response was further bolstered by the U.S. Department of Energy's announcement of seven critical mineral processing projects under the 'Unleashing American Energy' initiative.
