CRML Stock Soars on Revised European Lithium Acquisition Terms and Government Support
Critical Metals Corp.'s (CRML) shares surged by 10.3% to close at $6.40 on Friday, with intraday highs reaching $6.75 and a corresponding gain of 16.55%. This upward movement is largely attributed to the revised terms for its planned acquisition of European Lithium Ltd., as well as favorable policy developments from the U.S. Department of Energy.
The SEC Form 6-K filing on Thursday revealed that the company has replaced the fixed exchange ratio with a floating mechanism based on CRML's 20-day volume-weighted average trading price (VWAP). This change introduces protective collars, capping dilution scenarios at $8.00 and flooring it at $16.00.
Market participants are optimistic about this restructured framework, as it provides greater certainty compared to the original fixed ratio. The Department of Energy's announcement of seven critical mineral processing projects also contributes to the sector's positive sentiment, positioning CRML to benefit from this policy direction.
