Cronos Halts Entire Chain After Tectonic Exploit
Cronos Network, associated with Crypto.com, temporarily halted its entire chain on August 30 after identifying an exploit targeting Tectonic, a lending protocol built on the network.
The halt froze all activity and prompted questions from users about whether their funds and open positions remained safe. As of the latest update, roughly $69 million remains trapped onchain, with $6 million bridged out to Ethereum.
Crypto.com's app and exchange were not affected by the exploit, according to founder Kris, who stated that 'all funds are safe' on those platforms.
