Crypto Activity Rebounds Amid Limited Liquidity
Crypto activity rebounded in July as traders returned to decentralized finance, derivatives markets, and on-chain transactions. The sector showed renewed demand across several areas of the crypto ecosystem.
DeFi lending, DEX volumes, and perpetual futures recorded stronger participation, with DeFi loans increasing 7.2% to $22.2B in July. Total value locked across decentralized finance surpassed $74.9B during the month.
Liquidity remained limited as stablecoin supply declined 0.6% and institutional inflows showed cautious behavior. Despite this, Ethereum's performance supported the recovery, with ETH gaining 20.32% during July outperforming Bitcoin's 9.03% monthly increase.
