Crypto Billionaire Gives Reform UK Record-Shattering £36m Donation

Reform UK has received a record-breaking £36m donation from British cryptocurrency billionaire Ben Delo. This is the largest single donation ever made to a UK political party, surpassing even Harborne's £9m gift last year.

Delo, who will move back to the UK from Hong Kong to continue his backing for the party, has donated £1m per month between now and 2029. However, he is giving the money upfront in case the government tries to limit mega-donations in future.

The donation has sparked controversy, with Labour calling it an attempt by Farage 'to buy his way into power' and accusing him of being 'still up to his neck in scandal'. The Liberal Democrats also weighed in, saying that Reform UK's fundraising practices are 'unacceptable'.
