Crypto Billionaires Delo and Harborne Pour £72 Million into Reform UK
Crypto billionaires Ben Delo and Christopher Harborne have made significant donations to Nigel Farage's Reform UK party, with each contributing £36 million ($48.7 million) over two days.
This massive injection of funds brings the total donation from these two individuals to £72 million, exceeding any previous single donation to a British political party on record.
Belo, co-founder of BitMEX, revealed in an op-ed that he had intended to donate £1 million per month until the next general election but decided to bring the funds forward due to concerns about potential government restrictions on donations.
Harborne, a British investor based in Thailand and holding an estimated 12% stake in Tether, said he matched Delo's donation after being informed of his plans.
