Crypto Billionaires Fuel Farage's Reform UK with £72 Million
Crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne has donated £36 million to Britain's Reform UK party, matching an earlier record contribution from fellow investor Ben Delo.
The donation brings the total funds received by Reform UK in less than 48 hours to £72 million, exceeding what either the Labour Party or the Conservatives spent during last year's election campaign, according to Electoral Commission figures.
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage welcomed the backing from both men, stating that they know his party is the only one that can turn the country around and win the next general election.
The donations come amid a resurgence in right-wing politics across Europe since the re-election of US President Donald Trump. Reform UK has proposed several policies to boost crypto adoption, including cutting capital gains tax for digital assets and creating a Bitcoin reserve fund at the Bank of England.
