Crypto Billionaires Fuel Farage's Reform UK with £72m Donations

Reform UK, led by Nigel Farage, has received two massive donations from cryptocurrency billionaires Christopher Harborne and Ben Delo. The total amount is £72 million, with each donor giving £36 million. This is the largest donation in British political history, equivalent to three-quarters of the money spent at the 2024 general election.

The party claims that both donors want 'nothing' in return for their donations and will not receive any government contracts or peerages if Reform comes into power. However, this statement has been met with skepticism by other politicians, who point out that Farage's previous donors have received such rewards.

Nigel Farage said the money would be used to fund 'the best research and policy department British politics has ever seen' and recruit 'the best minds in every area'. The party plans to use cryptocurrency-friendly policies, including slashing taxes on crypto assets and setting up a 'Bitcoin reserve.'
