Crypto Billionaires Fuel Reform UK with Record-Breaking £72M Donation

Reform UK has received a record-breaking £72 million in donations from two crypto billionaires, Ben Delo and Christopher Harborne. This total exceeds the amount raised by all UK parties last year.

BitMEX co-founder Ben Delo gave £36 million to Reform UK on Friday, the largest single donation in British political history. He has also pledged to give £1 million per month for 14 years to cover potential future donations caps.

Harborne, a Tether investor based in Thailand, matched Delo's donation with another £36 million on Saturday. He explained that his 'competitive spirit' motivated the decision.

The donations will be used to hire 400 campaign managers and 'the brightest and best minds' for policy work, according to Reform UK. This development comes as the government considers tightening rules on large donations.
