Bitcoin hovered near $64,300 on Friday, unchanged from the previous day and flat over the week, as the US Senate delayed a vote on the Crypto Clarity Act until at least September. The bill aims to clarify which US regulator oversees digital assets, but it currently lacks the necessary votes to pass.

XRP led major cryptocurrency losses, down 2% on the day and 5.5% over seven days to $1.02. Solana fell by over 1% to nearly $73, while Dogecoin slipped almost 1% to under 7 cents. Ether was flat at $1,897, down marginally over the past week.

Bitcoin funds saw inflows of about $626 million between August 3 and 5, which helped defend support near $63,000 to $64,000. However, this was not enough to push through resistance around $66,000 to $66,600.
