Crypto.com Customer Support Fails User After Deleting Account Without Warning
A Crypto.com user reported that his account was deleted without warning and his funds were frozen. The user, Bradley Peak, had used the exchange for several years and sent funds to an established deposit setup before access disappeared. There was no suspension email or account-status warning on the login page.
Crypto.com's customer support initially denied that the account existed, but later said it was 'rejected' without explaining what this meant. The support team then claimed there was no Exchange account under Peak's email address, despite his providing screenshots of successful login notifications and an earlier email stating he already had an account.
Peak asked for updates across two chats for weeks, but the funds remained inaccessible. Crypto.com eventually gave a vague on-record statement saying they follow strict regulatory protocols and may place restrictions on accounts during reviews. However, the company did not confirm that Peak's account is under review or state whether it currently exists.
Peak's case is not an isolated incident; other users have reported similar issues with inaccessible exchange accounts on Crypto.com's public forum. The anecdotes show a failure mode where access stops, the chat escalates the case, and a public complaint opens another escalation route. As of August 21, Peak still had no access to his funds or any deadline for release.
