Crypto.com, Trump Media End Partnership Amid Shifting Priorities
Trump Media and Crypto.com are ending their partnership to establish Trump Media Group CRO Strategy, Inc., according to a statement from Crypto.com. The companies had agreed to create a new publicly traded digital asset treasury company that accumulated Crypto.com's native token, CRO.
The partnership was part of a proposed SPAC deal between Yorkville Acquisition Corp., Trump Media, and Crypto.com in August 2025. Under the agreement, Yorkville would become a (CRO) treasury company. However, due to 'prevailing market conditions and shifting business and stakeholder priorities,' the companies have mutually decided to terminate their partnership.
Crypto.com will also no longer service Yorkville's plans to offer ETFs under the Truth.Fi brand, including multiple crypto ETFs. Despite this, Crypto.com emphasized that Yorkville America's business and plans for its existing and future ETF offerings remain unchanged.
Trump Media's native token dropped by around 4% following news of the partnership ending. The company still holds over $600 million worth of BTC, making it the 14th-largest public bitcoin treasury.
