Crypto.com User Locked Out as Funds Remain Inaccessible
A Crypto.com user has been locked out of their account for over a week, sparking concerns about centralized crypto exchange custody and customer support procedures.
On August 13, Bradley Peak received a 'Successful Login' email from Crypto.com Exchange after his credentials were accepted. However, he was unable to enter the platform, while browser traffic reportedly showed a '401 Unauthorized' response.
Peak, who had used the Crypto.com Exchange for several years, said the problem emerged after he transferred funds using an established deposit setup. He received no suspension notice, document request, or explanation indicating that his account had been restricted.
The issue was repeatedly escalated, but support provided no timeline for resolution. Crypto.com declined to discuss the individual account, citing regulatory and legal obligations.
