Crypto 'Dead' Chatter Spreads Panic Among Retail Investors
The crypto market has seen a rise in 'crypto is dead' chatter on social media platforms and online forums, according to Santiment experts. Analysts see this rhetoric as a sign of fear among retail investors.
The words 'dead', 'dying', 'over', 'ended', 'ending', and 'finished' are increasingly being used across X, Reddit, Telegram, and other cryptocurrency channels. This type of language is often associated with fear and anxiety, typically appearing when retail investors lose patience and prices stagnate.
However, analysts note that the crypto market often makes strong moves in the opposite direction of majority sentiment. If 'crypto is dead' rhetoric intensifies while Bitcoin holds key levels, stronger players may continue accumulating assets, making the setup more attractive for long-term buyers.
