Crypto Demand Flashes Green, But Confirmation Remains Elusive
The cryptocurrency market has seen a significant increase in demand indicators over the past week, but experts warn that it's too early to confirm a sustained recovery.
Stablecoin flows have begun to shift towards net inflows, a sign of improving liquidity and potential buying pressure. According to analyst CW8900, net inflows have been increasing since April, with outflows dominating the market until recently.
Institutional demand has also picked up as the market recovered, with spot Bitcoin funds absorbing $337.56 million on August 24, while Ethereum products added $115.57 million. Solana ETFs drew $33.49 million, their largest daily total since December 15, 2025.
The Coinbase Premium Index measures the price difference between an asset trading on Coinbase Pro and Binance, with positive readings indicating US buyers are paying up. However, neither Bitcoin nor Ethereum's Coinbase premium has crossed back above zero yet, despite recovering from roughly -0.10 in mid-August.
