Crypto DEX Volumes Plummet to Lowest Point of Year

Crypto DEX volumes hit their lowest point of the year as traders retreat from risk, according to Blockworks data. The weekly Spot DEX Volume fell to $30.44 billion between August 3rd and 9th, its lowest level since September 2024.

The decline in volume was not limited to spot trading, with Perpetual DEX Futures Notional Volume also falling to $84.23 billion, marking a new low for the year.

The crypto market's fear persists, with CoinGlass's Fear and Greed Index showing that the market has spent 170 days in Fear over the past year, representing 46% of the period.
